Pasturages are areas of land that are used for grazing livestock. There are a number of synonyms for pasturages, including pastures, grazing land, grazelands, meadows, fields, paddocks, and ranges. Each of these words refers to areas of land that are used for animal husbandry, though they may have slightly different connotations. For example, fields may be used for growing crops as well as for grazing, while ranges may refer specifically to open areas of land that are used for cattle ranching.
