The Northern Fulmar, known by its scientific name Fulmarus glacialis, is a seabird that resides in the North Pacific and North Atlantic regions. This species is renowned for its tube-like nostrils that enable it to dispel excess salt that they extract from the food they consume. Some synonyms for Northern Fulmar include the Arctic Fulmar, Glacier Fulmar, and Greenland Fulmar. They are often referred to as "mollymauks", a term used in New Zealand, and are one of the most successful predators in the Arctic. Northern Fulmars are capable of traveling immense distances over the sea, even during the toughest weather conditions.
