Some synonyms for ACDF include cervical fusion surgery, neck fusion surgery, and cervical discectomy and fusion. Other terms for ACDF may include anterior cervical decompression and fusion, anterior cervical fusion, cervical spinal fusion, and neck discectomy and fusion. While these terms may differ slightly in wording, they all refer to the same surgical procedure that is used to alleviate pain and improve mobility in patients with neck conditions such as herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, or spinal stenosis.
