The Smalltooth Sawfish, also known as the Narrow Sawfish or Pointed Sawfish, is a critically endangered marine animal with a distinctive saw-like snout. It is found in shallow waters along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of the United States, as well as in parts of the Caribbean and South America. Although its saw-like snout is its most recognizable feature, the Smalltooth Sawfish has many other unique characteristics, including its flattened body and small dorsal fin. Due to overfishing and habitat destruction, the Smalltooth Sawfish population has drastically declined, and it is now one of the most endangered species in the world.
