Precognizant is a rarely used term in English language which means having knowledge of events before they occur. There are few synonyms which can be used instead of this word to convey similar meaning such as clairvoyant, prescient, prophetic, foresighted and intuitive. Clairvoyance refers to ability to gain information about an object, person, location or physical event through means other than the known senses. Prescience is ability to foresee future events and anticipate outcomes. Prophetic refers to prophecy or predictions of future events made through divine or supernatural intervention. Foresighted implies having knowledge or insight into future events and making plans accordingly. Intuitive refers to spontaneous, unconscious knowing of something.
